Carlsbadphoto#1From golden shores to golf courses, Carlsbad is a community with near-perfect weather and world-class resorts. Known as “The Village by the Sea” Carlsbad offers nearly seven miles of beautiful beaches, picturesque lagoons, the charm of a European village coupled with golf, spas and shopping.

Carlsbad is an affluent seaside resort city occupying a 7-mile stretch of Pacific coastline in North San Diego County. The city is located 87 miles south of Los Angeles and 35 miles north of downtown San Diego. Referred to as “The Village by the Sea” by locals, Carlsbad’s Mediterranean climate attracts visitors year-round to its quaint hotels and five-star luxury resorts.

The city is divided into four quadrants.

The Northwest quadrant of Carlsbad (zip code 92008) includes the downtown “Village” also known as “Olde Carlsbadphot#3Carlsbad”. It was the first part of Carlsbad to be settled; homes range from 1950’s cottages and bungalows to elegant mansions on the hill overlooking the ocean.

The Northeast quadrant (zip code 92010) consists mostly of single-family homes, with larger lots found in the older area known as Chestnut Hills. It is located east of El Camino Real and north of Palomar Airport Road.

The Southeast quadrant (zip code 92009) contains the largest number of homes in the four quadrants. It is located east of El Camino Real and south of Palomar Road, and includes the internationally renowned La Costa Resort and Spa that features two 18-hole professional golf courses, several restaurants, tennis courts and a spa that attracts visitors year-round.

Carlsbadphot#2Extending along the Pacific Ocean to the south of the center of Carlsbad is the Southwest quadrant (zip code 92011). It is located west of El Camino Real and south of Palomar Airport Road. The Aviara community is set in the hills of South Carlsbad, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Batiquitos Lagoon. Aviara is just north of Encinitas and west of La Costa. The community is mostly residential except for the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort and Aviara Golf and Country Club.

Carlsbad is the perfect place to call home, with its close proximity to the pacific coast, downtown San Diego and the local attractions.

As future residents look at homes for sale in Carlsbad, they will come across traditional residences and luxury homes, as well as oceanfront properties with close proximity to the community’s inviting shops and tasty eateries.
